Project Management
The Pains of Projects
Whether it’s a simple home project that soars beyond "a few bucks and a few hours" or an enterprise project that veers off course, we’ve all experienced the frustration of plans running over budget and behind schedule. The most important goal for a project manager is customer satisfaction. The best way to achieve this is by protecting money and time.
Why I Manage?
Helping others succeed
My first project as a manager was my Eagle Scout project. During high school, I was deeply involved with the special needs department, fostering a strong relationship with them.
In my senior year, I learned they were interested in gardening and horticulture, so I took on the responsibility of constructing two garden beds and three benches in our school's courtyard, enabling them to learn and enjoy the experience. Witnessing their progress in gardening and seeing other students utilize the benches throughout the year filled me with a sense of joy, as I knew I had made a positive difference. This is the goal I strive for in every project I undertake, creating a meaningful impact on others.
The icing on the cake? My project received recognition of being the Eagle Scout project of the month.

Collegiate Experience
During my project management Class taught by a recognized industry professional, I role played as a project manager. I had a great time learning every step, from generating scopes of work, to developing risk mitigation strategies (and de-scoping for un-mitigatable events), to project closing. I learned many valuable lessons that are useful in all fields of work and management. Academic work (Full presentation deck) available upon request.
